El Paso Graduates Spread Across Regions for Higher Education
The El Paso high school class of 1914 shows wide dispersion with graduates in El Paso, Texas and New Mexico, at the University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, Tempe Normal, Sophie Newcomb in New Orleans, and the State Mines. The class of 1913 and 1912 members also plan and pursue studies at West Point, UC Berkeley, U Chicago, and Texas institutions, while many stay in El Paso working or teaching. An evening program at the Elks club supported the San Jacinto school library with music, talk on the Pleiades, and a Greece lecture.

Next week's hostess will be Mrs Paul Ginther. Mrs L D Stark hosted a bridge party for her sister Mrs M Farber of Carlsbad New Mexico at Mundy avenue with lavender and white decor and corsage bouquets. First prize went to Mrs L Laskin and second to Miss Celia Goodman with consolation to Mrs L Goldsmith and brace prize to Mrs Barney Cohn. The guest of honor received a prize and a three course luncheon followed.

Caples jailed on complaint of wife in disturbance case
Edward P. Caples Jr was arrested and booked on a charge of disturbing the peace after police found furniture strewn about a room and his wife in tears following a quarrel at their home. Earlier a similar disagreement led to her leaving him. A reconciliation occurred recently at her new apartment.

Pioneer Day Reunion Set For Monday In El Paso
Pioneers of El Paso plan their annual reunion and old time picnic at Hart's mill next Monday. The El Paso County Pioneers' association will serve a pioneer day dinner at 1 pm on the site of the proposed pioneer building and park at the viaduct with foods available in El Paso before 1882. Mexican cooks will prepare many traditional dishes. After the meeting the association will elect officers and veterans will share reminiscences.
