United glitches sell $5 flights to multiple cities
United Airlines offered roundtrip tickets to cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles for as little as five dollars during a 45 minute online error. Spokeswoman Chris Nardella said United will honor the tickets but could not confirm how many were sold or the destinations. The mistake occurred during a fare load by Airline Tariff Publishing Co. and the site later stopped offering the discount.
