End of the war marked by Vietnam parade and festival
In Ho Chi Minh City a 25th anniversary celebration featured a large parade at Reunification Palace, with 20,000 spectators, military contingents, and banners praising victory. Notables included Giap and Dung, alongside Party chief Le Kha Phieu and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai. The event looked to Ho Chi Minh City's future economic goals amid postwar renewal.
