Penance and sacrifice urged by Pope and Sheen in world mission drive
The Holy Father calls all religious orders and laity to renounce comforts and pleasures to aid the missions. The God Love You column promotes self denial and gifting to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, citing examples and urging readers to fund missionaries in Africa and beyond. Readers are asked to request World Mission Rosaries and send offerings to the Society or diocesan directors in New York.
