New Creation Theme in Paul and Jesus Mission
Commentary on the Fourteenth Sunday of the Year 1974 by Father Eugene Mary GOSPEL centers on Paul’s claim that faith in Christ creates a new order of creation. It links Galatians 6 15 with 2 Corinthians 5 17 and notes the old law gave way to the new in Christ, while Isaiah 65 17 foreshadows this climactic act. Luke 10 1 9 is read as Jesus sending disciples with trust in God’s reign, deeming earthly preoccupations secondary.
