About 200000 dollars in 20 bills was paid as ransom, packed in 10000 bills weighing 24 pounds total. Killer 41 Crash Kills One at US 41 North of Sullivan
A two lane crash on U S 41 north of Sullivan Indiana killed 37 year old George L. Barger of Creve Coeur Illinois and injured John Lubbehusen 56 of Terre Haute. Barger died on arrival at Mary Sherman Hospital after a head on collision as he attempted to pass another car. Lubbehusen suffered a broken arm and facial injuries and was to be released from hospital Saturday. Sheriff Roseberry and deputies state police and county officials investigated.
