Two Women Fatally Shot by Relative in Terre Haute Nursing Homes
Police in Terre Haute say Layton Lathie Jones shot his elderly aunt Elda Mae Van Lieu and mother Della Wimmer at Meadows Manor and Wallace Nursing Center, then fled before being arrested at Wallace Nursing Center. Jones is in custody. victims were 86 and 87. The suspect, about 40, 5'10", 140 pounds, wearing glasses and a blue jacket.

City police arrested seven people on drug related charges after a routine call on the north side Thursday night. Robert Treadway 28 and Brenda 29 of 912 N 6 St are free on 2000 bonds. Others held include John Tipton 24 Jasonville Gary Angleton 32 Bloomington Hector Lopena 21 New York Christina Collins 22 104 Oakwood Dr and James Huntley 38 5527 Clinton Rd. Tipton Lopera and Huntley remain jailed on bond while Angleton and Collins are released on 1000 bond. The group faced preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia and will appear in court next week.
