Linda Peterson Receives Honors for Rescue at South Vigo

Linda Peterson, a South Vigo High School senior, was honored by the Terre Haute Area Chamber of Commerce and the Terre Haute Rotary Club for rescuing a 9-year-old neighbor boy from a lake near Deerfield on Monday, Nov. 5. She received a Rotary certificate, a VIP plaque from the chamber, and a senior life saving card from the Red Cross executive. Linda said she acted instinctively and did not think about the danger until in the water.
