Judge urges Glenn Home repairs despite phaseout plan
Vigo Circuit Judge C Joseph Anderson told county officials to proceed with repairs at the Glenn Home for Children even as he announced a phased closure within one to two years. He said most responses to the plan are favorable and directed bids on three vehicles totaling about 10000 dollars. The plan envisions placing most children with foster homes and eventually closing the facility while using a city house for transient children. He also instructed the superintendent to tell children they will not be forced into foster care if they prefer to stay.
