Dean admits involvement in Watergate cover up
John Dean testifies before the Senate committee describing a rapid White House push to tap wiretaps and cover the affair. He says he acted on instructions from Haldeman Ehrlichman and others and that the cover up expanded after the burglary on June 17, 1972. He acknowledges failing to stop the plan and details meetings with Nixon and other aides as the inquiry widened.
