Public Service Grows Rapidly Over Ten Years in Indiana
Gerald Daley of the Public Service Commission outlined a decade of rapid growth for Public Service of Indiana. The company expanded from 300000 to 1005000 kilowatts and is building the New Albany plant to add 600000 kilowatts by 1960. The expansion aims to attract industry, boost payrolls, and increase local tax revenue, funded by free market capital rather than government loans. The projects total a $168 million program to be completed in 1958.
