Desperate Jail Break Follows Hillsboro Heist
Three heavily armed prisoners broke from Montgomery County Jail in Hillsboro Illinois seized two cars and took four hostages. Two captives were later nabbed in the Indianapolis area and all hostages were released unharmed. San Francisco June 16 The Air Force said the first hydrogen bomb dropped from an American plane missed the target by about two miles.
