Johncock Pushes Safer Racing Not Quick Fix for Speed

Gordon Johncock voices disappointment with USAC actions after the Indy 500 safety debate. He argues quick measures like smaller wings and fuel cuts won’t cut speeds or danger and urges inclusive talks with drivers, mechanics, and owners to craft lasting safety standards. He favors fuel bladders, inside tanks, and track fencing ideas to reduce risk.
