Mobile Home Park Owner Sued by Gov t
The first rent control complaint under the economic stabilization program was filed in Terre Haute District Court against Van Bibler Lake Inc owner of a Greencastle mobile home park. It alleges February rent for tenant lots rose from 26 to 33 dollars per month and seeks 2500 dollars civil penalty plus a permanent injunction and refunds. A preliminary injunction prevents the company from collecting increases. A similar suit has been filed in the Northern District for other mobile home lot rentals.

Rescue Halted at Wankie Mine Tragedy in Rhodesia
In Salisbury Rhodesia rescue efforts for more than 400 trapped miners at the Wankie coal mine ceased Friday night and the mine sealed. Eight miners were saved after explosions Tuesday morning, one later died. Sir Keith Acutt of Anglo American said no survivors remained, as bodies were recovered and teams reached 5 000 feet underground.

Peanut Vendor Earns Honorary Diploma in San Francisco
