Bulganin's Note On Arms Cut Labeled Propaganda

American officials called Bulganin's disarmament letter pure propaganda and said it added no new proposals to end U S Soviet deadlock. He urged the United States Britain and France to join Russia in a new approach and cited Russia's 1.2 million manpower cut and other reductions as part of the push.

Paris Workers Seek Salary Increase and Benefits

Paris Illinois city employees asked for a $35 monthly raise to match police and firemen pay plus a 40 hour week and time and a half. They urged two weeks sick leave and a 15 day vacation with H F McFarland as spokesman. Finance commissioners backed a $300 monthly raise in principle but said funds are unavailable now. They approved a $608,079 appropriation ordinance, up $73,127 from last year, to help fund a new city hall and related repairs.

Racer Dies in Greensboro Midget Car Crash

A P A stock car driver died instantly Friday night after failing to negotiate a curve, crashing through a 19 foot wooden fence and overturning. The driver was Herold R. Dicker Reynolds of Arlington Virginia.

Youth Confesses Grocery Burglary Detailing Crystal Lake Find

A nineteen year old, who left school after ninth grade, admits breaking into Carter's Grocery at 1563 Elizabeth Ave on May 31. He led investigators to Crystal Lake Fort Harrison Road where a tin box with tobacco was recovered, and described moving the stolen goods from the store to his home and concealing the box in bushes.
