Body of South Bend man identified in rural death
Police identified the body found along a country road as Dennis H. Erwin, 29, of South Bend, a recent parolee. Detectives said he was shot three times with a shotgun. A 12 gauge shotgun recovered by divers in the Kankakee River is being tested.
