Senator Birch Bayh says a decision on locating a proposed multi hundred million dollar RDX production plant at Newport Indiana or McAlester Oklahoma could come this week. Vigo County Council weighs 1.3 million in funding requests
The Vigo County Council will hold a special session Friday at 9 30 am to hear county officials explain why more than 1.3 million dollars is being requested. Proposals include 585 000 from county funds and 440 278 from federal revenue sharing for various departments. Additional requests cover 175 820 from OETA funds for a new county department to administer CETA programs, 89 628 for 12 take home patrol cars, 4 700 for Prairie Creek Park water systems, 4 226 for a new motor vehicle, and road improvements totaling 585 000 across Robinson Road Harlan Road and Lewis Road. The remainder of funding will be considered for 1975.

School Board Awards Remodeling Bids in Vigo County
In a special session the Vigo County School Corporation board approved remodeling bids totaling 69 870 95 for Sarah Scott Woodrow Wilson and Chauncey Rose junior high schools to be finished before the 1975 76 school year.
