Cong Attack Kills Two Americans Near Saigon Command Post
Viet Cong guerillas launched an hour long barrage on a government command post 35 miles north of Saigon during a road clearing operation along Route 13. Mariner 4 Begins Sending Back Pictures From Mars
Mars probe Mariner 4 started transmitting signals after a long cruise. Gunman Hoffner Dies in Vigo County Jail Cell
A young gunman, Nicholas Hoffner, 21, who wounded a customer during a northside filling station holdup, died Thursday morning in his Vigo County Jail cell. He had been brought to jail after a head wound from Trooper W L Tincher and was found unresponsive shortly after 5 a.m. Hoffner’s victim, John Killen, 19, remained hospitalized in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
