City authorities announce strict enforcement of all no parking zones around Indiana State University with towing and escalating fines. Police say cars will be ticketed and towed rather than just cited, charging from three to seven fifty dollars plus court costs.
The Vigo County School Corporation Board approved a resolution to replace Concannon Junior High School after hearing questions about the plan. A board member proposed an alternate plan to move ninth graders to West Vigo High School and relocate other grades, potentially saving taxpayers millions.
Lisa Marie McNabb an 18 year old nursing student from St. Anthony School of Nursing was named queen of the Indiana Flower and Patio Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. She edged more than 300 entrants and will reign with her court during the week long event.
A Vigo County Crime and Delinquency Committee study details sheriff George Albright’s staffing concerns and cites failures in jail supervision criminal investigation and routine patrols.
