Indiana State College professor Dr. W. Dewey Annakin says he will be in the Indiana Senate when the 1965 session opens. Annakin, a Terre Haute Democrat, is a holdover senator whose term continues, with questions about which counties he will represent under a new four district map.
Indiana Governor Matthew E. Welsh announced there will be no special session to address congressional or legislative reapportionment unless an emergency arises. He cited a federal court order for at large elections as an undesirable scenario and noted the state lacks time to convene.

French forces flew into Libreville and seized key positions in light fighting to reinstall ousted President Leon MBa. The coup, staged Monday night, prompted MBa to appeal to President Charles de Gaulle for aid and France responded.

In Horsham England a 14 foot high double decker struck an iron bridge 13 feet high. The top of the bus was cut away injuring three passengers as the vehicle passed beneath the bridge on Tuesday.
The AFDIER Storage Site No. 7 on North Fruitridge avenue becomes Defense Supply Agency facility under DIPEC. It serves the Memphis DIPEC Center with centralized defense-owned equipment valued at four million dollars and provides common supplies for Army Navy Air Force and Marine Corps. Dedication ceremonies featured Col John E. Mitchell Jr Lt Col Leon Corcos Ralph Tucker John Lamb and others.
