FINED AND JAILED FOR TIPSY DRIVING
Kenneth Batchelor aged 24 of 201 South Third Street was found guilty on three charges and fined 217.50 with 60 days jail. City Court Judge Edward S. Everett heard the case after Batchelor, arrested over the weekend for public intoxication drunken driving and driving with a suspended license, crashed into Rev. Floyd Meyers’s car on Sunday. Officers Don Tryon and Si Lark reported Batchelor admitted causing the collision and urged them to forget the incident claiming he lost his driving permit in October 1955 for a similar offense.
