A fire about 4 30 p m Thursday on the citys northeast side left Tony Greenwood three in critical condition with second and third degree burns over eighty percent of his body and his 16 month old sister Tracy with second degree burns to face and hands. Damages to the home of LaDonna Greenwood at 2412 N 25th St were about 3000. Babysitter Jack Sands told police he was on a couch with Tony when he stepped outside for a few minutes and heard a loud boom followed by smoke and flames.

Palm Beach Post reports Supreme Court nominee G Harrold Carswell and wife sold a 1966 bayfront lot with a whites-only clause recorded in Wakulla County. The covenant restricted ownership and use to Caucasians, with domestic workers of nonwhite families excluded. Purchasers were Harriet Yon and Mazie Middleton. Carswells no longer own property there.
