Howard L. Gladden 34 alarm operator with the Terre Haute Fire Department has been missing since last Thursday. His wife Betty last saw him Wednesday but officials say he was spoken to Thursday. Detectives Tryon and Wyram, with Fire Department staff, search for Gladden, a six to seven year veteran and son of former City Councilman Howard Gladden, living at 1512 Crawford Street with his wife and five children.

Auto jumps curb injures two. girl dies later
