Earlier, Clyde Montgomery led horse pulling, with a 4,300-pound team breaking the 6,000-pound sled mark, while Marvin Dowden's team won lightweight division. Terre Haute Draft Board Calls 125 for Physical Exams

Sheriff’s deputies fight mob at Hawkins jail in Walters case
In Rogersville Tennessee police and sheriff's deputies repelled a mob of about 300 outside the Hawkins county jail in a brief gun battle.
