Body of 82 Year-Old Found Under Bridge in Indianapolis

Husband Accused of Slashing Wife in Stairway Assault

A 30 year old woman told police that her estranged husband slashed her with a knife and pushed her down a stairway. Mary Francis Joyner identified Joseph Joyner as her attacker. She was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in fair condition. The incident occurred Tuesday.

Polish Seaman Donates Blood After Deportation Halt

Tadeusz Gasowski, 37, a former Polish seaman, refused deportation to Poland after Rep. Alvin Bentley intervened. Paris Illinois August 7 Special The Clays Prairie Saddle Club weekend trail ride drew 59 riders from Edgar county with horse show Friday evening naming Dick Vice and Marlene Striker king and queen. Riders toured Allen Crab Farm Saturday for lunch and returned to fairgrounds for square dancing and skating. On Sunday they rode to Bert Barrett Farm for devotional services and a dinner.

Demands $50 000 in Damage Suit

Harry Duke and R R J Dennison filed a Federal Court damage suit in Montday against James Robert Neal of New Goshen seeking 50 000 for injuries from a June truck auto collision on U S Highway 150 south of New Goshen. Duke alleges a skull fracture brain concussion and severe facial and arm injuries. He claims total disability from the crash where Neal allegedly ran a stop sign.
