The Tarboro Press states weekly publication at ten dollars and fifty deals per year if prepaid, or three dollars at expiration of the subscription year. A Black Thai man broke into the home of two young women named Smith in Brooklyn. He was caught in the act and grappled by one sister while the other held a lamp during the struggle. After a fight, the intruder escaped.
Lieut. Gee Wyche of the Navy, about 35, in a drunken state, hung himself with a handkerchief from a cell grate after being incarcerated. He was a Virginia native residing in Alabama, with fifteen years naval service and a reputation for generosity. The incident followed his confinement at the new courthouse watch house on North Market Street in Boston.
