The Yarborough Press by George Howwann is a weekly publication priced at two dollars and fifty cents per year prepaid or three years at the end of the year, twenty five cents per month. Subscriptions may be canceled on notice with arrears paid. Distant subscribers must pay in advance or provide a local reference. Advertisements under a square cost one dollar for the first insertion and twenty five cents per continuation. longer ads priced proportionally with court orders and judicial notices costing 25 percent higher. Ads must state the number of insertions or run until ordered otherwise. Letters to the Editor must be postpaid or unread.

Celebration at Bunker Hill 1843 Procession in Boston
A foggy dawn gave way to a vast Bunker Hill commemoration in Boston. Ten thousand plus crowds lined streets and Common as military and civic processions, New England Society delegates, and surviving Revolution veterans gathered. President and cabinet, Massachusetts officials, and generals attended while muskets, banners, and a ceremonial gun salute marked the hours. An immense crowd estimated at around one hundred thousand watched the monument rise, with prayers and speeches concluding a day of patriotic tribute.

Dismissal and Dinner Procession at State House and Faneuil Hall
The troops are dismissed for the day and a second procession forms at the State House under Mr G G Gordon marshal for subscribers and guests from Bunker Hill. Under CityGreys leadership Captain Thompson leads the march to Faneuil Hall arriving about six oclock for the dinner event.

At six we entered the decorated hall for a dinner honoring the Bunker Hill Monument. Benefactors Amos Lawrence and Touro of New Orleans gave $10,000 each. the procession and speakers included J. Webster, Abel Upshur, Caleb Cushing, and John Tyler Jr. The night featured a somber toast on the Battle of Bunker Hill and a shared poem.

Loan bids opened for U S five percent stock
The Madisonian reports that bids for a government loan were opened after the Treasury notice. A large field of competitors offered more than needed. The top bid was 3102.373 for 5100 of five percent stock, with others at 101.01. John Ward & Co of New York led demand with conversion option to four percent stock.

Death by Lightning in Orange County
Mr John A Govok formerly a Clerk in the Post Office was killed by lightning while at work in his field in Orange County. He sought shelter under a tree as a storm approached when the tree was struck. The force passed through the tree and fatally injured Govok in an instant.
