It notes advertisement lengths, insertion pricing, and that letters to the Editor must be postpaid.

A dated verse rejects flowery flattery, vows sincere affection, and mutual support through hardship. The speaker promises honest wooing, fidelity, and shared sorrow while acknowledging human faults and possible disagreements, urging reasoning over blame. He pledges a true, steadfast heart.
An old friend encounters Ellsford and his wife Elisford on Markey street after a three year absence. Ellsford reveals he has married three weeks ago and the wife is described as lovely and worthy, illustrating a scene of surprised reunion and admired virtue.
The narrator recalls Caroline Ellsworth, a refined, sensitive woman who endures hardship after her husband Ellsford’s death. She rises from governess to respected companion in a wealthy household, shaping a circle of admirers. The narrator then offers Caroline a home, and she accepts, illustrating resilience through adversity and the value of inner character.
Miss Macauley describes a tyrannical husband tale to urge wives to balance gentleness with firmness. A thirty year old husband mistreats a fifteen year old wife. after he discards overcooked mutton, she flings the tablecloth and the dish after it. They continue to live as a harmonious couple.

The Baltimore Express reports whispers of covert tubes dug from a meeting house into the gentry’s chambers to hear sermons unseen. It also lists "Wanted" individuals to watch the ladies at church doors and to perform minor disruptive tasks during services, inviting inquiries on Politeness street.
A note from Delaware describes a boast of a Yankee creating perfect mirrors in Connecticut. A Quebec inn servant girl faced theft charges for three five dollar notes from a boarder, found in her shoe, but jurors discharged her since the banks suspended specie payments. The notes were returned to the owner.
The Messrs Dar ting of Bellingham Massachusetts recently exhibited a novel pistol in Providence. Described by the Providence Courier the weapon has six barrels arranged in a circle around a central axle and rotates around it. The lock is a common percussion design with a main spring dog and trigger to move the hammer.
The excerpt notes that the barrel has a separate nipper at the breech and is charged like other firearms. It states the pistol and lock machine work is concealed within the stock, with only the hammer and the rigger exposed.
Captain W H Taylor tested a metal and rubber diving dress in the Hudson River staying 36 minutes while others, including J W Hate, joined the experiment.
