Body of missing Cloudcroft woman found near Pueblo
Missing Alamogordo resident Betty Parsons was found dead near the Pueblo area after a long disappearance. FBI Special Agent Bill Elwell said homicide remained possible as autopsy results awaited. Parsons vanished Sept. 19 after leaving a doctor’s office in Alamogordo. A 1993 white Toyota registered to Parsons was recovered with belongings inside. investigations by Otero County sheriff and Taos Pueblo wilderness patrol continue.

Arrest at Bent Street Deli and missing-person claim noted
On Tuesday at 1:19 a.m. a caller at Bent Street reported a male breaking items at Bent Street Deli. the suspect was arrested. A 18 year old stated she is not a missing person after turning 18 and was advised to come to the police department, but did not appear. Wednesday, Sept. 21 remarks follow.

Beating Report From Police Station Details Suspect on Bike
A reporting party at 4:49 p.m. said he was beaten by a suspect on a black bike wearing black pants and a red shirt with blood on him. At 7:03 p.m. another caller reported his brother becoming unruly and throwing a TV. the phone cut off and an officer reported the mother settled the matter.

Man sentenced to three years in crash that killed son
In Red River County a man faced sentencing for a crash on May 22 that killed his 7-year-old son Nolan and injured others. Judge Pepey Nelson imposed six years with three suspended, three on parole after prison, and allowed travel for a final visit with children before Oct. 5. The defendant admitted drinking at Bull o the Woods tavern before driving the jeep. Prosecutors read letters from Nolan’s mother and grandmother expressing fear and sorrow, while the mother urged incarceration for further safety. Suspect Arrested in Taos Town Building Thefts
Taos police say a 22 year old male was arrested Sept 20 for theft from municipal buildings including the Town Council Building and the Convention Center. A confession followed as investigators recovered or located stolen property such as a safe computers money and at least one musical instrument with help from the district attorney's investigation division.
