Hard Working Thieves Hit Bill Miller Chevrolet Lot
Thieves reportedly labored for hours Tuesday night at Bill Miller Chevrolet on South Santa Fe Road blasting an empty safe, rifling machines, breaking windows, and injuring offices and workshops. A & B Auto Machine Service workers heard noises about 1:30 am but assumed a rush job. Entry came via broken windows, the safe rolled through the yard to the body department, where three more windows and tool chests were damaged. About $150 taken from the safe plus a few tires suspected. Office files scattered, equipment ruined, premises badly damaged. police say it looks like a youthful amateur operation and have obtained clear fingerprints.

Car Abandoned After Mishap Near Taos
State Patrolman Andy Cordova said a 1948 Chevrolet left the highway near the IL feld tanks four miles north of Taos Saturday night was stripped of all identification. The owner or operator is sought as there were no license plates or identifying marks. The car appeared undamaged but likely deemed not worth the effort to recover. It was possibly registered in Colorado, with no report of theft there.
