District Court Judge C R Mcintosh directed the jury to verdict for Otto Noeding in Zoe Mozert v Noeding. Mozert sought 30000 dollars in damages and 2000 for hospital expenses claiming a fall on an unguarded stair light at the Bent Museum storeroom.

Francisco A. Padilla, 17, son of Mr and Mrs Augustin Padilla of 183 Commerce St Las Vegas New Mexico, completed eight weeks of advanced infantry training with heavy weapons at Fort Polk Louisiana on August 28. He learned to use the 81 millimeter mortar the 4.2 inch mortar and the 106 millimeter recoilless rifle along with map reading land mine warfare communications and escape and evasion. He attended Las Vegas Robertson High School before joining the Army.

Translator TV Stations Planned for Taos New Mexico
On August 28 1964 no applications were filed with the FCC by Tads Community TV Inc to construct and operate translator stations in Taos New Mexico. New Stalls Ready for 1964 New Mexico State Fair
Final touches on 60 new horse stalls built this fall for the 1964 New Mexico State Fair opening in Albuquerque on September 17. Concrete slabs and corrugated steel roofs will be completed by August 31 with painting in soft pastel shades, turquoise roof poles, bringing total horse quarters to 1032 across show, track, and rodeo uses.

Student Growth Up Slightly In Public Schools In Taos
Taos Municipal Schools report slight growth in student enrollment this year compared with 1980. About 2,000 students enrolled for fall term per secretary Miss Bibiana Wengert, superintendent’s secretary. A Taos planning survey from 1963, published 1963, listed 1,877 students in 1960. Enrollment by school shows 1984 figures with Taos High 677, Junior High 526, Taos Grade 757, Canon Grade 861, El Prado 546, and total 2,000.

Cars Collide At El Prado Post Office Intersection
Two cars collided on Highway 3 in front of the El Prado post office Monday morning. No injuries were reported. Beatrice Gonzales, 22, El Prado, was charged with reckless driving after her car, approaching from the south, turned left toward the post office and hit the southbound vehicle driven by Jeanne Lee Herrera, 25, of Valdez.

State Careless Driving Hearing Delayed
