Taos labor stats show high tourism but high unemployment

Balloon festival lifts Taos skyline with hot air show

Trailer zoning fight reopens in El Prado dispute
In 1991 Fernando Miera sought ETZ approval for a 56 unit mobile home park on seven acres between Quintana Lane and Camino de la Jara in El Prado. Neighbors opposed, petitions were signed, and the plan was withdrawn. Miera then placed three mobile homes on the land without permission, triggering a criminal complaint. He later moved the trailers to three parcels now claimed by his children and Geral dine Chacon. He returned to ETZ on October 14 seeking a 16 unit park, facing strong neighbor opposition. The hearing was continued to November 10 after lengthy testimony.
