Plane crash near Tres Piedras injures four people
A Cessna 172 crashed in trees near an open field on Saturday while en route from Wichita to Durango. Four aboard survived with minor injuries after stalling at altitude and hitting branches, then upside down in snow. The occupants, Gregg Gearhart and Scotty McWerther and their wives Marilyn Gearhart and Norma McWerther, walked to a highway for help. all were treated and released from Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.
