Taos joins global 350 Day climate action effort
Taos hosts 350 Day events on Saturday October 24 featuring a three hour panel at Town Council chambers from 9 a.m. to noon at Civic Plaza with Kit Carson CEO Luis Reyes and others, followed by a noon to 3 50 p.m. gathering at Parr Field with giveaways and booths promoting renewable energy local food production and policy for reducing CO2. Taos hosts 13th annual Children’s Halloween Party Oct 24
Taos Youth and Family Center stages a daytime 2 5 p m party at Taos Civic Plaza with free admission for the first 750 children, carnival games and a four age group costume contest. Evening event Terror On Civic Plaza Drive runs 7 10 p m with $4 admission, taos tiger cheerleaders aiding, and a warning it may not suit under 12. Proceeds aid Taos youth and community groups.
