Gorge fall kills Questan Kenneth J. Ortega in Taos Gorge
Ortega 21 of Questa died from head and internal injuries after slipping about 65 feet on a Latir Creek trail into the Rio Grande Gorge. He was rescued alive but pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital after a late Wednesday rescue coordinated by Taos Search and Rescue and local agencies.
