Don Quixote Returns as That Restaurant Reopens In Taos

The same name continues but with a refreshed look at That, formerly Don Quixote on Raton Road, under Adolfo Villalobos. Reservations for dinner are advised as El Patio hosts Tomales Bay Band tonight Oct 14 and a dance band is planned for Friday and Saturday. Linda, a Vermont native, performs country folk on weekdays. Niki Fraser becomes Kachina Lodge manager bringing 15 years hotel restaurant experience and CPA credentials, with Cal, her husband, having spent years abroad.

Don Quixote Restaurant Opens In Taos With Noted Chef

Adolfo, ex-Rancho Encantado chef, arrives in Taos to run Don Quixote. The menu features prime rib, filet and lobster, English cut prime rib at lunch, and imported French pastries. Romero brothers will perform nightly as Dominici becomes executive chef. Grand opening set for Saturday with lunch 11 to 2, dinner 6 to 9, tea time offered.

Casa Cordova Brings Old World Charm To Taos Dining

Taos restaurant Casa Cordova in Arroyo Seco earns Holiday Magazine Award for fine food. Chef Mogens Hansen, formerly of Kungsholm Chicago and The Four Seasons Albuquerque, leads a European style kitchen with extensive wine and a diverse Gourmet Menu. The dining room features Bisttram and Gorman art, a grand fireplace, and attentive staff, with reservations advised and location four miles north of Taos on State Road 150.

Eisenstein Classics Showcased In Taos Film Series

Soviet filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein's Potemkin and 10 Days That Shook the World screen in the Taos Art Association series on Wednesday Oct 20. Potemkin covers a 1905 czarist mutiny aboard a cruiser. films start at 8 p.m. Admission is 1.50 for adults and 0.74 for children.
