Town Receives County Taxes Misposted by State
Taos town received 9 084.66 from the Department of Finance and Administration on September 15 that rightly belongs to Taos County as its first half cent sales tax return for a new courthouse. Town clerk Carolyn Parr will remit the amount after notice. The town also recorded 5 891.70 on September 18 for July tax returns, totaling 6 269.88 to date. The state has not yet remitted August and September collections.

Pueblo Community Center Grant Approved in New Mexico
The Pueblo Taos Pueblo won a $205,600 Economic Development Administration grant to build a multi purpose community center on Bureau of Indian Affairs land near the pueblo.
