Taos septic hauler bids for permit amid community clash
In Taos, Steve Rael of S&R Excavation and Septic and Doug West of Stagecoach Neighborhood Association say they will cooperate to address open septic pits on the mesa north of town amid concerns of contamination and blight. The town bans out of county septage and Rael shifts to Taos sewer plant, dumping 158,750 gallons July 16 to August 15, and seeks permit renewal at 10,000 gallons daily.
