Elizabeth Archuleta a 17yearold Taos High School senior disappeared after the evening of October 27. A BOLO was issued and state police and Juvenile Probation Office are actively investigating. Her mother says Elizabeth left home without her purse after cooking for the Arroyo Seco Halloween carnival.

Veterans Day ceremony honors Taos veterans on plaza
Dozens of Taos area veterans gathered for a Veterans Day ceremony on the Taos Plaza marking the 50th anniversary of World War II and the installation of a new black marble memorial plaque. Rev John Snider delivered the invocation and Fred Anglada played taps as VFW District 6 commander Felix Trujillo spoke. The town will keep Don Fernando swimming pool open during winter on a limited basis after residents urged against closure.
