Ranchos wreck victim driving undressed in dawn crash
Ranchos de Taos resident Frank B. Kohl, 41, was driving a 1987 Dodge pickup while undressed except for leather slippers when he clipped a light pole at Siler and Paseo Sur at 4 55 a.m. on Friday May 19. Passenger Omar Calves, 18, was treated and released. Kohl remained in serious condition at UNM Hospital with a broken pelvis and arm. Police say he may have fallen asleep at the wheel. investigations and citations are pending.

Taos Teen Struck By Pickup After School Bus Stop
A 14 year old Taos boy, Chris Weathers, lies in serious but stable condition after being struck by a pickup on SR 522 near a school bus stop. The driver John Teegardin 45 swerved and grazed his right front fender as the boy walked in front of the bus driven by Norbert Cisneros 54. Police say no charges yet as investigation continues.
