The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Albert Chavez pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Taos has been named to direct New Mexico's Catholic laymen's missionary movement for the nation and Latin America. He will serve as liaison between the archdiocese and the national program and spend more time with university students. 150 Attend Meeting Of Postmasters Here
Taos hosted the New Mexico Chapter convention of the National Association of Postmasters. More than 150 attendees heard sessions at Ka china Lodge and at Taos Inn. The banquet drew about 170, with lunch served to 14 at Hospital Auxiliary Hall. Mrs. Agnes Avila led the event, thanking locals for support and cooperation.
