Taos County cleanup gains mixed results and praise
Taos County wrapped a county wide litter sweep on May 7 with mixed success. Coordinator Jack Suttie of Friends of Taos Valley praised participant cooperation but urged more help, especially from high school students. The drive collected trash for landfills, with at least 20,000 gallons buried. Henry Armijo of Espanola will present the full package today, May 12, to Phillippi who will forward it to the Community Service Administration in Dallas for approval.
