Grammy winner Lynn Anderson faces May court on DUI charges
Taos resident and Grammy winner Lynn Anderson was arrested in Espafiola last week on aggravated DUI and careless driving after a 7 p.m. crash at U.S. 84/285 and State Road 106. She posted a $615 bond, was jailed May 3, and will be arraigned May 17. Anderson previously faced a shoplifting arrest in Taos and entered a district court diversion program.

A historic adobe residence used by tribal doctors at Taos Pueblo was fully destroyed by a fire reported after 3 a.m. and controlled by 6 a.m. Fire officials said the cause is under investigation and possible arson or accidental origins are still unknown. Authorities prevented spread to a nearby mobile home used as an alcoholism recovery center.
