Rites held for G Dowling 76 in Santa Fe
Funeral services for Georgia Anna Dowling 76 recently of Alamogordo and formerly of Taos were held March 17 at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe. Burial followed at Santa Fe National Cemetery. She died March 15 at St Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque. Survived by husband A C Dowling two sons John Dowling of Bloomington Indiana and William Dowling of Albuquerque and daughter Loretta Miller of Casper Wyoming. The Rev Lee Hubert officiated. Dowling lived in Taos 1935 to 1970 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church.

Taos County Day Care Center Seeks Funds and Staff
The public is invited to a Police Commission meeting on April 4 at 7 p.m. in City Hall to discuss re evaluation of the police department. A fund drive aims to raise 600 for a Taos County child day care center to serve working mothers with pre school children, funded partly by Federal Title IV with county matching funds needed.
