On SR 68 north of the Sagebrush Inn two vehicles collided late Thursday night March 8. Elaine Romero 22 of Rancho de Taos died from neck injuries. Joseph Chacon 22 of Taos died of internal injuries. Rose Olonia 24, a passenger, survived with bruises and two broken ribs. Arthur Vargas 39 of Ranchos suffered severe facial lacerations. Investigators awaited blood alcohol results and checked headlights. No citations issued.
