Manny Archuleta 40 of Cayton pleads not guilty by reason of insanity to first degree murder and related charges over the Sept 10 1995 stabbing death of Tony Serna in a Taos municipal parking lot. Ruth Archuleta testified she witnessed the events as police and others described.

Caregivers Charged In Fraud Case In Taos Area

Two Taos area women Candice Rand and Robin McCleod faced charges including two counts of credit card theft nineteen counts of fraudulent use of credit cards and one count of conspiracy for allegedly stealing credit cards from 71 year old Angel Fire caregiver Katherine Iams and using them to buy thousands of dollars in goods Rand 46 arrested March 6 McCleod 51 fled and is believed in Orlando Florida Rand pleaded not guilty at Taos arraignment and remains jailed on a ten thousand dollar bond. McCleod has a warrant out for her arrest.
