Six census heads quit over dispute in New Mexico

In Las Vegas area during the 1980 Census six top administrators resigned over local organization disputes. Resignations include district manager Juan Duran and field operations supervisor Sonny Maes. Salaries ranged from 7.45 to 8.75 per hour with new hiring underway for crew leaders and enumerators as door to door canvassing begins in March.
