Trial on grazing fee increase set Monday
The New Mexico Cattle Growers Association says a court test of grazing fee increases will open next Monday at 9 a.m. in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque. The case, by Panky Land and Cattle Company representing all New Mexico grazing permittees, seeks to prevent the Jan 10 and 14, 1969 fee increases from being collected and asks for a ruling that the fees are invalid. Permittees may oppose representation and may intervene to present claims.

Memorial services for Jack Olson at St James Church
Memorial services for Jack Leroy Olson, 47, who died March 5 at his home, were held last Saturday at St James Episcopal Church. Olson, WWII veteran and El Patio Bar and Grill operator, had recently lost partner Richard L. Harrison. Survivors include his mother in St Louis, a brother and two sisters there, and a sister in Florida. Cremation followed, contributions to Holy Cross Hospital Memorial fund requested.
