Local youth dies in highway crash near El Prado
Arroyo Hondo youth Bences Gonzales, 18, was killed when his car struck a horse on Highway 3 north of El Prado at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. Passenger Anthony Medina, 15, suffered a broken arm and was treated at Holy Cross Hospital. State Police cited excessive speed. the horse also died. Mass for Gonzales was held March 7 at Our Lady of Sorrows, with burial in Arroyo Hondo Cemetery.
