Snow area hosts annual school ski race and events
New Snow area runs an annual ski race for Penasco and Taos students, with weekly bus trips to Taos Ski Valley for rentals lift tickets and lessons at $1.50 weekly. Conditions at Taos Ski Valley called fabulous by Ernie Blake with bases of 75 and 29 inches, plus recent snows. Last Rites Read For Pat Flores
Pat Flores, 35, Korean War veteran and Taos resident, died November 2 in a automobile accident. Military honors were given February 27 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery and an honor guard from the National Guard. Rosary was held February 26. Flores survived by his wife Emma, two sons, and parents, with service arrangements by Garcia Funeral Home.
